Bits Dubai - The Dream College of every Student
Hi,
Birla Institute of Technology and Science aka (also known as) - BITS is one of the best private Engineering College in India. In the same manner Bits Dubai is also a well reputed engineering college. Students struggle to get a seat at BITS - buts its not that tough task when it comes to getting admission in BITS Dubai. Admission at BITS Dubai is provided on the basis of the marks obtained in the 12 th grade exams or simply 12 standard. On the basis of 12 th marks - two lists are made - one for the GCC candidates and the other for Non GCC candidates. Well, GCC candidates are those whose parents are staying in GCC countries.
To know more about the eligibility for getting admission at BITS Dubai and other such things you can visit BITS Dubai Website. It has everything mentioned briefly like the fee structures, hostel facilities, life at BITS Dubai and many such things. And ya, if you are still in doubt whether you're parent is from a GCC or Non GCC country then just visit BITS Dubai website (link i have already given), you will get it from there.
Most of the students won't be in a situtation to opt the fees the high fees at BITS Dubai - well thats one of the main reason why there is a less attraction of students at BITS Dubai than the Bits Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. Roughly it amounts to about 20 Lacs Indian Rupees to complete 4 years of engineering degree from Bits Dubai. And thats not a small amount. While it will take only about 3-4 Lacs to complete your engineering degree from the Indian campuses located at Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad.
But let me tell you onething that the BITS Dubai campus and the facilities available there are really Superb. The hostel facilites are also much better than the hostel of any other college. We are paying for it - and we are getting the best. People from different countries come at BITS Dubai just because of the quality of education they are gonna get and also because of the facilities the students are provided. And the money that we spend at BITS Dubai can be regained in about 1 years time or even earlier - thats about the placement at BITS Dubai - when talking about the placement of BITS colleges, people often forget about the practice school - its really the strength of BITS colleges that no other colleges have - we see the ranking of colleges in magazines and all - but while listing colleges based upon their placement, facilities and all the magazines and websites that provide the information don't consider the practice school placements - (still BITS get a decent rank - Right now it is ranked as the number 1 Private Engineering College in India).
Thats all for now - keep visiting my blog and help me in promoting this blog the better way. Provide me support so that i keep publishing good content that can be useful to students aspiring to get admission in BITS Dubai. Make me aware of the things that i miss out to publish - also notify me if I have posted anything wrong so that I can correct it.
I appreciate all those who are interested in providing their valuable comments.

DeleteShamim, the admission process is not country wise. Students all over the world has equal opportunity. First of all a rank list based on the 12th marks will be made for the GCC candidates - and then they will admit those with the highest ranks. After that, it's our turn (Non-GCC), a ranklist will be prepared the same way for us (all countries except GCC countries) - and there is no separate mark list for each country (as you thought).
ReplyDeleteIf you are from India (and if you are a Non Gcc candidate), then you would be needing 90 % for Computer Engg (I think above 85 % is OKEY , but still, aim for 90 % - sometimes the cut off can increase !!)
Hi..Sir!
DeletePlease reply me asap, I'm not sure whether to take admission in BITS DUBAI or NOT..?(Suggest ME)
I will get about 82%-87% in cbse boards this year. So,just tell mei which branch is the famous to get a good placement.
I want to take Computer Science but i heard from a lot of peoples that the placement in CS was not good in Dubai..Is it True?
What is the Average placement for CS..?
costly but excellent mind blowing
ReplyDeleteIts worth every penny that you spent!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you are getting it, then don't leave it.
If you are looking for a bright career then bits dubai is one of the best options for now.
hmmm...even m quite interested in bits-dubai.. coz i wanna work in dubai after my engg.i guess it would be easier this way..hows d atmosphere in d clg there?kinda studious?any scholarship plans available?what about the safety for gals?i dnt hv ne relative staying at dubai...my parents are lil scared to send me so far..m from india..
ReplyDeleteNaini, you are in the right path. I like the reason why you wanna get there. Yup, you'll be getting a job in Dubai easily after completing your graduation from bits Dubai. And, about safety and all, three is no need to worry much. There are separate hostels for first years! Not just that, seniors don't trouble juniors - that's cuz doing so, they themselves are gonna get troubled! They can even be dismissed!!! Well, in my opinion, regarding safety, senior-junior relationship, hostels etc Bits Dubai just Rockzz !!! Just be smart, don't go there as an Indian Village girl - keep confidence in you and perform well there. And ya, if you are getting Bits Dubai, then don't leave it for the above reasons !!! I wish you all the best!!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of joining BITS,Dubai.
I am a non GCC student from India.I just wanted to ask that my student visa will obviously be avaiable, but in case I want to move to Dubai along with parents what would be the procedure to obtain visa for the complete family?
@Deep,
ReplyDeleteYou will be getting VISA to Dubai for sure. But your admission at Bits-Dubai don't have anything to do with your parents- And I don't think that your parents will be getting VISA since you got admission there. So, for bringing your parents to Dubai you should look for other alternatives like visit VISA etc... Hope this helped you. Reply if you need further guidance
@ Blogger-boy,
ReplyDeleteWell thanks a lot.Which branch are you in by the way? well i understand the college is good and there is absolutely no doubt abt dubai.....
well just reassure me how good the placements are and is it worth coming from india if u are like getting an admission in a decent university affiliated college?(as a matter of fact im frm chd and may get into the uni.institute of tech.).
btw i got 84% in board exams, any idea what branch i could end up with?
Don't worry about placements!!
ReplyDeleteIt has the brand name Bits with it!!
This is something you won't get from any India College.
You'll always be a BIT-sian if you get in here.
So, decide whether BITs Dubai is better for you or not ...
All you people are only talking about the good things about the college...am studying in the collge and am telin al u ppl its nt al flowery out thr in BITS dubai...so think of all the pros and cons before joinig...
ReplyDeleteSo what excatly are the cons? And the pros?
DeleteHey I'm a girl and i'm planning to go join bits dubai. please please help me decide whether its a good option..

Deletefor admission into bits pilani dubai whether all the five subjects including english and second language along with maths physics and chemistry at 12th standard is considered or only pcm aggregate is considered
ReplyDeleteravimohan
hyderabad india
@ravi,
ReplyDeleteThey consider the whole aggregate and not just PCM- so score good marks in all the sujects including languages!
do they take both 11th and 12th aggregate or simply only 12th aggregate to consider for bits dubai admission
ReplyDeleteyashwanth
india
i am in my second year intermediate and scored 85% aggregare in first and now trying to score 90% i would like to know whether bits dubai considers second year aggregate or both the years aggregate
ReplyDeleteHi bloggerboy! I want to know whether the BITS brand name(from Dubai campus) will give us preference over other candidates from other colleges in India, who are applying for foreign universities for MS?? Suppose both persons, one from BPD and another one from some other coll in India have the same CGPA(say 9.5) and both of them have applied to Stanford(say), will Stanford give priority to the BPD student due to his BITS tag?
ReplyDelete@Pranav, if your main aim is to go for higher education abroad, then also the BITS tag will surely help you!!
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, year by year, it's getting improved!! If you are getting admission, then just don't leave it!! That's what I wanna tell you.
All the best friends !!!
HI BLOGGER BOY:YOU SAID 20 LACS EXPENDITURE FOR 4 YEAR BUT AS PER FEE STRUCTURE FOR HOSTEL ETC IT IS MORE THAN 35 LACS PLEASE CLERIFY
ReplyDeleteRoughly it amounts to about 20 Lacs Indian Rupees to complete 4 years of engineering degree from Bits Dubai. And thats not a small amount.
ReplyDeleteFEE STRUCTURE PER SAMESTER
Fee as mentioned below.
i. Admission fee AED 1500/-
ii. Refundable Caution Deposit AED 5000/-
iii. B ITS Activity fee AED 1000/-
iv. First installment of First Semester tuition fee (Dhs14000/-)* AED 7000/-
v. First year Visa fee AED 2100/-
vi. Medical Insurance fee AED 1550/-
vii. Hostel fee (First Semester) ** AED 15000/-
(Inclusive of boarding & lodging)
viii. Refundable Hostel Caution Deposit AED 2000/-
ix. Internet Connection fee AED 750/-
Total: (US $ 9836) AED 35900/-
IF IUSD -= 50
TOTAL EXENDITURE IN FIRST YEAR APPOX 5 LACS
TOTAL 8 NOS SAMESTER WILL BE AROUND 40 LACS
BOTH ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE CONTRADICTORY
I AGREE WITH RAJESH
1 aed= 15 rupees.
DeleteYeah, they have recently revised the fee.
ReplyDeleteI am a student in 12th studyin in bahrain who is still confused which university to choose
ReplyDeletesome said that the degree we get in BITS dubai and others in india are equal(correct me if i am wrong)
ofcourse the facillities available in dubai will be better
but academically will it be better or just equal?
will you recommend me to study in BITS dubai
rather than in others in india
guys i totally agree with rajesh too..
ReplyDeletei come from a middle class background but am kinda
brilliant in studies...
i was surfing the net for all the top engg colleges when i came accross this blog of yours..
n of all the things you have said about the college, i am most bothered about the steep fee..
can you assure me that i ll b placed with a company which offers me a suitably steep placement package...
please elaborate on this front!!!!!!!!!!!
This blog is a sham, what lies about BPD, Being a alumini from bits dubai i can tell you with certainty that current fee structure the college is totally not worth it look for other colleges in India. The faculty here is sub par and have no idea about what they are teaching. Bits Pilani Dubai is not the same as bits pilani India the standard at BPD is much much lower, if you admit students with 60% aggregate what do you expect?
ReplyDeletefuck off i dick head! for ur kind motherfucking brain , cutoff for iit is also 60% , doesn imply they take 60% or cut off for almost all are near abt 60%, if should know that the merit list prep for BPD goes as low as 80%,bitch!
Deletethank you M Jain....
ReplyDeletenow thats some advice!!!!!!
the point you have raised is pretty valid but u c 60% is just the criteria for admission and does not guarantee it,,,,
but i guess being an alumnus you'd know better...
cheers n dont feel disguted...
man, its just a blog
I'm doing my XI grade in India. I'm interested in joining BITS Dubai after completing my XII. Foll are my doubts:- 1) Will our marks in all subjects be considered or will it be only PCM.
ReplyDelete2) By Rs.20 L - do u mean only the course fees or does it include the hostel, mess fees etc.
Pl clarify

@ blogger boy- my dad works as a software analyst in dammam, Saudis Arabia but I study in New Delhi. Does that makes me a GCC candidate?
ReplyDeleteI am currently in 12th grade and I'm expecting to get good marks (around 90%) in my CBSE 2013. Is BPD a good option for me then? And I'm not quite sure about the fee sturctude. I wish someone could help and tell me the grand total amount including the hostel and stuff that I need to pay in four years and the kind of place, net I will get in Dubai with this bachelors degree.
Awaiting reply.
Hi ...
ReplyDeleteAFAIK, if your parents are residing in a GCC country, yes, you are considered to be a GCC candidate.
And hence you have an edge over other candidates.
Also, if you get around 90 % in your 12th, you'll get pretty much any branch that you like.
As far as the fee structure and hostel fee goes, they revise it often and hence for the correct thing, you'll have to visit their site. But if you ask me, its really worth it and hence if you have money you shouldn't be really worried about it.
So, all the best man. If I were you I wouldn't bother about other stuffs and would just concentrate on my exams get good marks. If you can do this, you'll make it to BITs and there's really nothing to worry about.
hi...i m a non gcc student getting 76% in cbse....will i get computer engg??????please let me know as soon as possible...no financial problems as well.....i just want to get in

ReplyDeletehello guys.. BITS Dubai is taking admissions on basis of your 12th grade.. but the standard of education is equal to ones of pilani campus.. you have min of 3 exams per week and the level of paper is quite high... its not a cake walk to get good grades.. the exams are conducted with strict invigilation and all these tests play an important role for your CGPA...
ReplyDeletefew facts abt bits dubai:
-as mentioned.. you will have 2 to 3 exams per week
-BITS Campus is "quite" far from the city
-few teacher's are extremely good but few r jus horrible
-BITS dubai conducts many competitions through out the year..
-you need to have a min of 50% attendance
- you have jus one grocery shop which is a bit far from the campus
- MESS food is excellent sometimes and sometimes tastes like shit
SO guys plz think twice b4 coming here..(y)

Moreover, how is this college as compared to other goodd Indian Colleges like VIT, NIT, BITS PILANI, PEC etc. And, does it (the degree obtained from Bits Dubai) have any value in India or other countries ?
Lastly, I want to know about the placements and the avg. salary package offered by the campus upon completion of the degree {if we assume the candidate is performing good in studies.}
